Home Made Ammo Can

It is hard to come up with every thing you would like when it comes to gun stuff and $10 to $15 for surplus ammo cans can add up. But there are things that people throwaway every day which could be most Useful. The handle may need extra sport if over loaded by using wire under the can and making a cross that meats the handle at full extension would be no problem.
 

This old paint can holds 450 loose rounds of 7.62 X 39 ammo which is about what is in a import Russian or Chinese Spam can (Nick name by shooters Spam can as that is what it looks like--an over sized Spam can) , and a number of stripper clips. Make sure that the can is clean and dry. Tape a flat piece of metal to the lid to open the can with. A quarter will work but the kids may decide they need it more than you do.
