I think the future will be a problematic one and we will have to make do with what we have or can get our hands on. We will some times have to work with less then what we would like to make things work. This 4 inch pipe can be made into an 8 inch pipe. This pipe was cut into 5& 1/2 inch tall pieces and then physically opened and shaped to the right size for an 8 inch pipe.
This pipe is about 1/8 inch thick and very workable thicker pipe would have been more difficult.
Some time was spent on the anvil to get the pipe to look this way.

At this point I could have used this pipe but I decided that 1/4 inch pipe would be more desirable if I were going to build this. The above was only set up as an example
