Ammo Application in Gun Function Part 5 of 12

Part 5 Cross dressing your gun--Crossing webbing to create a useful ammo supply systems for your gun—Outside of having a few stripper clips to create a historical effect in your target shooting. If your bolt action gun is your principle weapon it is obvious that you would want it as functional as possible. By now you will probably realize that a stripper clip is an essential part of the equation not just a toy. With this in mind using different supply systems for your gun may not be historically correct but instead of having 30 bullets you will have a battle compliment of ammo to work with. The very neat thing about crossing webbing is the fact that the 5 round stripper clip works perfectly fine in most surplus webbing. We will cover a few examples below but on the overall you should be able to use these supply systems for just about any bolt action military rifle you may own including the Mosin Nagant.

Above are about 100 rounds of 308 ammo on stripper clips. The army surplus pouch was a $1 at a swap meet. The front smaller pouch is useful to hold the empty stripper clips I never drop those. The brass is picked up after shooting and reloaded. This pouch or something very simple like it could be made out of the pants leg from some old blue jeans and some Velcro, this army surplus pouch above is my favorite.
